Local Play Features Health Center

May is National Mental Health Awareness Month and The Little Theatre of Walla Walla is producing Next to Normal to raise awareness of this issue in Walla Walla. Each night, The Little Theatre of Walla Walla will use its stage to spotlight one local agency, non-profit, or group and the important work/services they provide the valley. During pre-show and intermission, there will be a Mental Health Resource Fair downstairs in the Mildred Stewart Room. Patrons can learn about each organization and pick up information or literature. The Health Center will be featured Saturday, May 11.

LTWW will donate 50% of the profits from the Next to Normal production after the show’s complete run to eligible non-profit organizations spotlighted during the performance dates.

About the Show:
Dad's an architect; Mom rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wise-cracking teens, appearing to be a typical American family. And yet their lives are anything but normal because the mother has been battling bipolar disorder for 16 years. Next to Normal takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting their family's story with love, sympathy and heart.

Performances:
May 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 31, and June 1
